Here we go

So, I promised myself that this summer I would start a blog.... here we go.  It has been a crazy, fun, eventful 2009, and I am determined to capture it all so we can always remember.  Here is a list of all that has happened so far:
1. I turned 30
2. My mom turned 60
3. Harrison turned 5
4. Jones Andrew Holland was born
5. Kirk turned 30
6. I graduated with my M.A. from New York University
7. Kirk's dad is about to turn 60, and his brother turns 40
8. we are building a house and move in in November
9. My brother is about to welcome his second child (Griffin) into the world
10. My other brother is getting married
That is quite a list huh! Here are some pics of some of the events so far, and I will post more as they happen.

It was such an honor to get to graduate from NYU.  It is one of the best things I have ever done for myself.  The whole experience was indescribable.  I feel so lucky and blessed to have had that experience and to have a family who was so supportive.  I LOVED our time in NYC.  It was shorter than we had planned, but was all perfect in God's timing.  We have memories and experiences from there that will last a lifetime.
Introducing Jones Andrew Holland! He has been so fun to get to know this summer.  I can't wait to learn more about him and get to know him and all his interests.  We are so excited to have him as a part of our family! We are now complete.

Kirk decided he wanted to play some rock band, drink beer and have a great time with all his friends for his 30th.  We had a great time! Well, most of us did anyway, Jones was 3 weeks old and we had just returned from NYC.... I was so tired! I am so glad he had a great time though, and was able to party just the way he wanted.

I love planning birthday parties! However, this year I had to let the big mouse take over.  I was working full time, in school full time and 35 weeks pregnant.  Harrison had just as much fun though and loved getting to invite his cousins, and all his friends from school.  I can't believe my baby boy is already 5!
This isn't the best of pics, but I can't find the others of my 30th birthday.  I was really missing Manhattan, so Kirk, Lisa, Allyson and my mom turned Allyson's house into a Manhattan restaurant.  It was so fun! I had visions of working out really hard and looking great for my 30th, but I ended up being 6 months pregnant instead.  Oh well, I had fun anyway.  The best part: the mocktini's that were served in my honor (thanks Lisa!)
