Harrison went to a Halloween skate party with some friends from school. He had a great time, and the parents had a great time watching the kids try to skate. I love that he is old enough to do stuff like this now. He decided to be Ben 10 this year.... Here are some pics.

NannyBug has been in town since Thursday! We have had so much fun with her, but I am ready for life to get back to normal. I have worked hard to spend as much time as I can with her, and more importantly, let the boys spend as much time as they can with her. I am behind at work now due to my Nanny time, but that is OK! Well worth it! She makes the most amazing caramel cake in the world, so I had her make one with me so I can learn. We did pretty good, and made a memory too! Here are some pics with her and the grandkids.

New Beginnings

Ah, I love the start of a new school year. There is something so refreshing about it. I have spent the day getting ready! I got my car detailed and oil changed. I went and got my hair all shaped up and refreshed after a summer of chlorine and sun damage. We went tonight to get all of Harrison's school supplies... What fun! I so look forward to getting back to work and our busy scheduled lives!! That seems so strange to say, but I crave the structure right now. I have had four months of playing with the boys, watching tv and lounging by the pool. That is enough for me! Time to get back to what I love.... and love being able to say I love my job (never really been able to say that before). I am so excited about this year because it will be my first year as a school counselor where I feel like I know what I am doing (at least somewhat). Last year was so tough because I was a school counselor for the first time, pregnant (sick for most of the first semester of school) and attending grad school full time. Needless to say every area of my life suffered as I attempted to juggle it all. All I have to do this year is focus on my job and love my babies when I get home! It is still and handful, but I am confident that I will be able to do both very well. It will be a little stressful as we are also building a house right now, but all of the major decisions have already been made for that, so all I have to do is drive by and take pics every couple of days:)
Harrison starts Kindergarden this year!!! Can you believe it? My baby grew up so fast! He has matured so much this summer and I am so proud of him. Kirk and I have been through so much since his birth, and we have taken him all over the United States as we follow our hearts and dreams. He has been a trouper, and become this amazing, insightful, mature kid along the way. I am loving watching him grow and discover more about who God created him to be. Here is a pic. Isn't he handsome.

Here's to another new school year!!!!

Holland Photo Shoot!

We had a photo shoot the other day with one of Kirk's former students. It will be so hard to decide which ones to print! I have posted a few.... enjoy!

Goodbye Lily Bell

Lily lasted in our home for a little over a year.  She had so much potential, but never quite met up to it.  It was her constant battle to try and take over Harrison and Jones' positions in the family which lead to her need for a new home.  The list of toys and clothes of the boys she has destroyed is too long.....
Farewell Lily, I hope you find what you are looking for!

Here we go

So, I promised myself that this summer I would start a blog.... here we go.  It has been a crazy, fun, eventful 2009, and I am determined to capture it all so we can always remember.  Here is a list of all that has happened so far:
1. I turned 30
2. My mom turned 60
3. Harrison turned 5
4. Jones Andrew Holland was born
5. Kirk turned 30
6. I graduated with my M.A. from New York University
7. Kirk's dad is about to turn 60, and his brother turns 40
8. we are building a house and move in in November
9. My brother is about to welcome his second child (Griffin) into the world
10. My other brother is getting married
That is quite a list huh! Here are some pics of some of the events so far, and I will post more as they happen.

It was such an honor to get to graduate from NYU.  It is one of the best things I have ever done for myself.  The whole experience was indescribable.  I feel so lucky and blessed to have had that experience and to have a family who was so supportive.  I LOVED our time in NYC.  It was shorter than we had planned, but was all perfect in God's timing.  We have memories and experiences from there that will last a lifetime.
Introducing Jones Andrew Holland! He has been so fun to get to know this summer.  I can't wait to learn more about him and get to know him and all his interests.  We are so excited to have him as a part of our family! We are now complete.

Kirk decided he wanted to play some rock band, drink beer and have a great time with all his friends for his 30th.  We had a great time! Well, most of us did anyway, Jones was 3 weeks old and we had just returned from NYC.... I was so tired! I am so glad he had a great time though, and was able to party just the way he wanted.

I love planning birthday parties! However, this year I had to let the big mouse take over.  I was working full time, in school full time and 35 weeks pregnant.  Harrison had just as much fun though and loved getting to invite his cousins, and all his friends from school.  I can't believe my baby boy is already 5!
This isn't the best of pics, but I can't find the others of my 30th birthday.  I was really missing Manhattan, so Kirk, Lisa, Allyson and my mom turned Allyson's house into a Manhattan restaurant.  It was so fun! I had visions of working out really hard and looking great for my 30th, but I ended up being 6 months pregnant instead.  Oh well, I had fun anyway.  The best part: the mocktini's that were served in my honor (thanks Lisa!)
